80% of results come from 20% of the effort. It applies to something we discovered managing B2B tech product launches over the last ten years.
With three slides you pretty much can manage a B2B technology product launch of just about any size.
The slides are:

- Site Updates
- Go-live Timeline
Those three allowed us to communicate, coordinate and manage a launch effectively. Both at the executive level and the “doer” level.
So are these the only slides you’ll need to for your entire product launch? No. Remember it’s the 80/20 rule. You’ll need more, for sure.
But for the one person tasked with managing the launch, the three emerged as the ones we went to over and over. All the others mostly gathered dust.
The key is to find those aspects of any activity that will give you outsized impact for your product launch and ignore the rest.
